This wasn’t the issue as I understand times were tough for everyone during this period of time. So back in October 2020 I booked my partner and I a holiday with Teletext Holidays to Greece (Rhodes) for 10 nights for May 2021 to only get it cancelled on us before hand due to covid. I have called umpteen times to Teletext, to be told Email Customer Relations I have emailed, to be honest, I am so Peed off with this, I am taking this as far as I canĪVOID UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED! Would’ve given them a 0 * rating if I could! Had no choice! I have received £584 to my bank account The long and short is this: I have paid nearly £5,000 for a week in Tenerife, apartment - not all inclusive and not even on a school holiday. After many frantic calls to Teletext Emergency number, Thomas advised me to pay again for our accommodation, costing me a further £1,254.68 on my Credit Card and I would be re-imbursed. Called Emergency number, spoke to Tomasz, he said that there was nothing he could do Jessica at the Resort was very upset with our predicament but said that she could not accept our voucher. Accommodation was cancelled, we had nowhere to stay. Arrived 2 weeks ago, 18th October, showed my Accomodation Voucher. Anyway, me, husband, daughter, grandson flew to Sunset Bay Club, Diamond Resorts. Gave me 18th October 2021, even though I had paid extra for Xmas. 18th Dec, answered my call, made me pay £960 extra to change my dates. Covid news, Teletext wouldn't answer my emails/phone calls from 14th Dec onwards. Short version - saved up over the year for 2020 Xmas week 21st Dec till 28th. One Star, if there was Zero, I would have put that! My tale is far too long. I’m lucky…I could afford to put the fee on my card…if I hadn’t I’d have been asked to leave the hotel!!! Teletext holidays will not now engage with me. Yes, I got my money back….later than promised and with no consideration of the increased fee that I had to pay at the hotel and the credit card fee. They are not reputable and will let you down. If you want a stress free holiday then I strongly urge you to avoid these companies. They do not answer emails or return calls and do not reimburse as promised or even give an explanation or apology for their actions. Paid the balance for the holiday when due and everything appears to be ok….until I arrived at the hotel to be told that the accommodation hadn’t been paid for! Contact with Teletext holidays from this moment on was difficult and they became evasive and awkward. A few weeks later I received an email from teletext holidays confirming the booking! I called to enquire as to why the booking was transferred and I was told that they were sister companies and this was normal. Initially booked my Tenerife holiday with Alpharooms, as I’ve done about six times previously. Please don't waste your time and energy, go with a different company and save yourself the hassle and stress!. Upon arrival on my holiday, the private transfer i had paid for through them did not arrive and when I rang them I was simply told get yourself another means of transport and we will refund you within 4-5 working days. Once I was aware I changed the destination which teletext were extremely hesitant to do. (Probably should have checked myself aswell). The holiday was sold to me and I was told I did not need a vaccine to where I was travelling. Being foolish I thought I'd give them a second chance a few weeks back and also booked another holiday. Upon ringing teletext whilst abroad they refused to give me a straight answer and have still not responded after sending a complaint form. Once I arrived I had no transfer which I had paid for and my hotel had been closed for a month. Booked a holiday and was called 2 days prior to flying out and was told my flights and hotel were all ok. I used to always use teletext and had no issues up until a year ago. I'd love to put 0 stars but unfortunately I can't.
